11. Describe 10 pet peeves you have.

 

I am almost certain that if seeing how long it takes to do a 30 day challenge was an Olympic event, yours truly would win GOLD!

 

Hmmm..only 10 pet peeves? I’ll see if I can manage to limit myself to just 10.

1. Getting interrupted. I don’t cut you off in the middle of a sentence, I’d appreciate if you would do likewise!

2. Stupid drivers. If you can’t handle the simple tasks like using a turn signal or actually waiting your turn at a 4-way stop, GET OFF THE ROAD!

3. When someone just texts the letter “K.” What the heck? K is an abbreviation of OK, which is already an abbreviation of the word okay. You can’t abbreviate an abbreviation! I just respond with “What happened to ABCDEFGHIJ?!”

The “Don’t Forget To Pack For College” List

Okay, so hopefully you have already figured out most of the obvious things to pack for college. I mean, bedding, personal hygiene items, clothing, school supplies, etc. are pretty easy to guess, right? However, due to the fact that I have some really awesome friends who’ve already survived their freshman year of college and that I have been planning for college for months now, I am compiled a little list of items you may not want to forget. Remember, these items may not be necessary, but I’ll let you make that call!

• Flashlight. One of my friends lived in a very old dorm building this past spring, which happened to have a few electrical problems. They lost power all of the time and she says that having a flashlight around made all of the difference when she was in the dark trying to pack an overnight bag and head to another friend’s dorm in a different hall! A flashlight can also be handy when you’re trying to get ready for that early morning class you regret taking, and your roommate is still asleep. She’ll be very glad that you had a flashlight to use while you dug around your closet!
• Camera. For me this one was obvious because I almost always carry my camera with me. However, another one of my friends told me that she didn’t realize how many moments she had forgot to capture her first semester at college! College is one of the most exciting times of your life and you’ll wish you had the pictures to look back on down the road!
• Tissues. Seriously, I’ve been told by like six different people that you always want to keep a box of tissues handy. I don’t really know why everyone finds that so important, but I thought it must be important enough to share!

 

8 Days & Counting!

Hi Folks! I really hope you do not hate me right now for lying to you. I know in my previous post I mentioned that I was ending my mini-break from my blog and would post everything I’d been meaning to soon, but things just didn’t work out that way. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me!

Anyways, part of the reason I have been absent so long is that I have been CRAZY busy. I mean, who is this busy during the summer? Isn’t this suppose to be the relaxing, worry-free time before the insanely busy semester starts?

I just want to let you know a few of the things I’ve been up to lately…

 

• I got a new job! Yay! I am now an employee of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store! I started Mid-July and had been working at both Cracker Barrel and the feed store until last week when I officially ended my time at the feed store. I really like working at CB so far, and I hope things stay good there! I have been so sad about having to leave my job at the feed store because I’m moving for school, but I know that all good things must come to an end!

30 Day Blogging Challenge – Post #10

Hi, I am back from my mini-blogging vacation that I decided to give myself! I have a lot to post, but I’ll get to that soon enough. Right now, I’m going to get one step closer to the end of this challenge! I hope everyone has had a great July 4th!

10. Describe your most embarrassing moment.

Oh boy, my most embarrassing moment. I have a whole arsenal full of embarrassing moments to choose from. I can’t exactly peg one as the “most embarrassing” one.

I can think of a pretty memorable one, though. In fact, I was just telling my sister about it the other day.

Why I Chose to Live On-Campus Vs. At Home

This time last year, it was every bit my intention to attend a community college that was only 15 minutes from my parent’s house, where I planned to live. So, to think back over the course of events that have lead me in a very different direction, is a bit overwhelming. At times, I stop and think to myself, “What the heck are you doing? You could live at home and not have to grow up so fast!” Never fear, those moments of doubt are rare and quick to leave!

Anyways, when I started looking at the school I have decided to attend, my parents planned on me just driving everyday. The school is about 50 miles from my parent’s home and it takes anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour to get there.

However, I wanted to look at a few things before I just agreed to live at home. So, here are the things I took into consideration:
